This app is the first of its kind. It caters to a niche business market in a niche area which is by its very nature, a truly mobile environment: The Texas Oil and Gas Industry, specifically the area of Texas called the Eagle Ford Shale which is followed by businesses and people all over the world. This is the first app dedicated to the Eagle Ford Shale. The mission is to enhance the lives of people who work and live in this community and change the way business is done in this area/industry. The app will be an online information hub that will cater to this mobile business environment by doing the following: (1) Providing a news feed and helpful tips/information section; (2) Connect customers with businesses using a new, innovative platform; (3) Provide tools for managing and improving existing businesses in the mobile environment; (4) Allow users to access information on available jobs and equipment for sale; (5) Social Media Sharing: the app will act as a mobile hub for communications between people who live and work in the Eagle Ford on a hyperlocal level; (6) for the first time a truly mobile platform will be provided for businesses to market their products/services to the Eagle Ford Shale business community, and; (7) encourage User Feedback to let users have a say in how the app is updated and developed to serve the needs of this community. Specifically, the "Oilfield Survival Kit" Section will allow users out in the field to track down specialty companies based on user location. The relevant companies will appear on the screen based on which ones are closest to the user. So depending on user location, different companies will appear when using this section in different areas. The company location and contact information will appear and be actionable so that users can communicate with companies immediately by phone or email and determine how far away the companies are from the user. All of this will save time and this is crucial in the oilfield as time is money when trying to finish a job. Field workers will have access to information on jobs, equipment and all kinds of information that interests them. In the Business Survival Kit business owners will have access to tools and information (too much to list here) to help them start, grow, and/or help them run their businesses more efficiently. Drivers will have access to information to help them maintain their CDL s, buy/sell equipment, access roadside assistance and other information that is important to them. The Industry News/Tips section will provide relevant news stories and also provide users with tips on running and doing business in the Eagle Ford Shale. The Eagle Ford Connect section will provide social media integration providing a forum for specific topics to be discussed and addressed based on the interests and concerns of the people who make the Eagle Ford community what it is. Businesses of any kind will for the first time have a truly mobile platform dedicated to the Eagle Ford to get their products/services in front of the people who have traditionally been so hard to reach.
